Communion Services – Rev Bob Ackroyd

It was a great pleasure to have Rev Bob Ackroyd for our recent Communion Services.  Bob’s ministry was well received and the simplicity and homeliness of the communion service was  appreciated.  Over the weekend, Bob spoke from Ps 124  ‘Had not the Lord been on our side’ and also from the book of Acts.  ‘Paul’s  violence towards  the early church, but also his unexpected conversion and  the amazing conversion of the Ethiopian’.   Bob also spoke of how he became a christian which again was very interesting.  Bob left us with six words on the Sunday morning. Three before communion and three for after communion:  faith hope and love – joy prayer and thanksgiving.  We are grateful to God that Bob too enjoyed the weekend.
