It was a great pleasure to welcome Jimmy Gunn for the first of our regular ‘Cafe Church’ evenings. Jimmy sang in the relaxed surroundings of Golspie Free Church while people listened, drinking their coffee and tea. What proved to be a wintery day, with fresh snow falling, didn’t dampen the 40 – 50 folks who braved the conditions and sang along as well. Jimmy told us candidly something of his life story, of his upbringing, his becoming a follower of Jesus and living as a Christian, and also of his great desire to aid the search for Alison MacDonald, Kenny and Reta’s daughter. There was a great response to the evening and it is one we look forward to continuing, and with God’s help we pray it becomes a means of blessing to the people of Golspie.
